LEGO Days!

We’ve been having a great time at our local library. They have so many cool activities. We really hope to stay local for now because of it. Our favorite days? LEGO days!

wpid-img_20140718_130635.jpgLEGO day is an excuse to get creative.  They do all sized blocks for kids of all ages. It’s tons of fun for all of them.

They come up with some pretty wacky things, like Corde’s RV (above) and her super stacked bunk beds. It’s gotten them really thinking about what they can make, and how to make it. They never really got into LEGO blocks before, but now they’re inspired.

The kids are getting to meet other kids too. This is some of the best socialization they’ve had in a long time. They’re making friends and having a lot of fun. It helps them forget about the situation we’re in. While we’re here we’re being creative and building with friends.

These days do us all a lot of good. The kids count the time based on when the next activity is and the ones they build are the biggest highlight of their week. There’s something about being able to create freely with no rules that really gets them going!

We really needed these days after all we’ve been through. We really hope we can set down some roots for good. If you would like to help, there are a few ways you can! We’re holding a Scentsy Fundraiser to help get funds to get my family back on their feet. We’ve had a hard time getting assistance, so this is a great way to help, and get some wonderful products for your home!  You can also donate directly to our Go Fund Me page and help us get our RV. It would be a great way to live inexpensively with options to hit the road when we’re ready!

With four kids, who has time for much? We spend a lot of time together, which translates to a lot of knitting time for me when we hang out. We've been trying to get back to our unschooling roots. We watch a lot of videos, play a lot of games, and pay attention to the things we notice in our everyday life. It's been quite the big adventure!
